National Government Solar Incentives
What are Small-Scale Technology Certificates (STC)?
Small-scale technology certificates (STC) are government rebates that reward home owners and businesses for installing renewable energy systems. These certificates are applied at the point of sale and can save thousands off the purchase cost.
The number of certificates a household or business is eligible for depends on several factors, including the geographical location where the solar panels are installed, as well as how much energy they produce.
The STC rebate is set to end by the end of 2030, with the applicable STCs reducing each year until then.
What are Feed-in Tariffs?
A solar feed-in tariff is a payment received by households or businesses from their electricity retailer.
The tariff paid is for excess electricity produced by their solar panel system, which has been fed back into the grid.
